The apartment is on the 4th (top) floor overlooking the beach (literally a stone's throw). All 3 bedrooms have a sea view and a balcony/terrace is ideal for the afternoon sun, a sundowner and dining 'al fresco'. There is access to a communal roof terrace for all day sunshine. Well equipped kitchen, with electric kettle! Double bedroom, one large twin room and a smaller twin room. A sofa-bed allows 1 or 2 more to sleep in the larger of the two twin rooms, if required. All linen and bath towels provided - not beach towels. There is no lift - so stairs lead up to the apartment.

La Herradura - means 'horseshoe' - describing the bay between the two headlands of 'Cerro Gordo' and 'Punta de La Mona'. A mile long shingle beach hosts several restaurant/bars as well as two SCUBA diving schools in this quiet part of Costa del Sol. La Herradura has everything you need for a short stay. A small market, bakery, plenty of bars and restaurants, banks, supermarkets (small), medical services, pharmacy, bookshop, hairdressers etc. Almunecar, approximately 10km away is a Market Town (Fridays) with all the main facilities for shopping and services. There is a large everyday market for fresh food and a lovely combination of traditional Spanish local bars (incredible tapas and value for money) - and more modern resort attractions. These remain very Spanish - the area is not at all like the Costa del Sol that lies west of Malaga.
