Los Avellanos c.18th century is a typical Canarian style house that sits on the side of a valley 600m (1,970ft) above sea level, approximately 3kms from the historical town of Teror (pronounced Tear-oar (Tear as in bear), which is reputedly the prettiest town in Gran Canaria. A regular coach (bus stop across the road) can take you into Teror (3km), or further on to Las Palmas (22km), where you can find excellent shopping & Las Canteras beach which is 4km long and holds the coveted blue flag.
