Built around the former fishing village, this resort has flourished in recent years. The central point is the harbour from where ferries leave for neighbouring islands, or you can catch a trip out to see the Whales and Dolphins. Beaches and shops are plentiful as are bars and restaurants. A good base for families and those wanting to explore the island but not wishing to hire a car as the local bus station offers trips over the whole of the island.
