Set at the foot of the Montgo mountain Javea is a beautiful town with two centres. There is the Arenal with its sandy beach, long promenade and bars, restaurants and shops. The promenade is a great place for a stroll in the evenings to view the many market stalls. The other centre is the port and old town areas that have retained much of their old Spanish charm. There is a market in the old town and a fish market at the port. Its natural beauty makes Javea a jewel on the Costa Blanca.
